Pupils in Year 4 have been enjoying building dens on the field as part of their Forest School learning. Armed with tarpaulins, old rubber tyres, bits of string and plenty of imagination, they have worked together in teams to create the most amazing establishments. At the end of the afternoon, each team gave the rest of the class a guided tour of their homes, which boasted coat stands, doorbells and carpets – all created with pine cones, leaves and branches. We have been developing our Forest School area, which now boasts a dedicated gathering area around the ‘fire pit’ and work on this area will continue through the year. We are so glad that our children will have the opportunity to enjoy some hands on, outdoor learning.
