CYP UPPER: YEAR 3 LOVE BOOK WEEK!
Year 3 had a fantastic end to Book Week! Yesterday, we dressed up as our favourite book characters and had a day full of book talk and inspiring others to read our favourite books.

Yesterday, Year 5 had the opportunity to meet the illustrator- Selom Sunu.
This week, Year 3 have had some very exciting visitors, poet Josh Seigal and author, Graham Whitlock!
We have had a truly magnificent start to Book Week here at Cypress Upper!
Our World Book Week celebrations have begun and what a way to kick start the week- a visit from Nathan Bryon and Dapo Adeola.
This Thursday saw Year 3 start their new thematic topic in the best way possible – by dressing up and experiencing prehistory first hand.
As you know, the Cypress Upper school council have decided that they would like to purchase some plants for each of the classrooms, to promote well-being and encourage responsibility.
The annual museum day was a huge success with children across the trust displaying artistic and design skills in abundance.
It was lovely to see the creative efforts of the children today during Museum Day.
Year 6 have had a fabulous week, concluding their work on Ancient Egypt.
This week, year 3 have been preparing to travel back in time to Victorian Britain.
We have had a wonderfully creative week. Year 6 have been creating death masks and learning about mummification, the process of preserving bodies ready for the afterlife.
Wow! What a feast for the eyes- Museum Day has arrived.
Today in Year 3, we have been learning about how to follow a set of instructions.
This week we have continued thinking about ‘reciprocity’ and in particular, listening and speaking in pairs or a group.
