This past week, Year 2 have enjoyed trips to Morden Hall Park. As well as getting to explore the awesome natural adventure playground, they enjoyed picnics in the sun. However, the highlight was of course our workshops with the National Trust. First we explored the woodland habitat, looking for invertebrates under logs where they enjoy the damp and dead wood. After that, we explored the river habitat, looking for invertebrates in the river. We used heavy nets to catch invertebrates in the river and had to be careful to stay upright! The sun shone and we had a great day as scientists doing fieldwork with specialist equipment.
