Year 1 have been exploring the “whys” of African tales through Tinga Tinga Tales. We have listened to a range of stories and working in groups, planned our own versions. The children have been enthusiastically retelling their stories orally, sharing their imaginative ideas with one another.
This week, the children have taken the next exciting step by planning their own individual stories. They are now getting ready to write and publish their very own Tinga Tinga Tales.
Keep an eye on our learning journey throughout the term as we discover some wonderful “whys”:
“Why Zebra has stripes”, “Why Lion has a mane”, “Why Monkey swings from tree to tree”, “Why Crocodile is so snappy”.
We cant wait to share our stories with you!
