Beulah – Year 1’s Moon Mission

This week, you might have heard tales of aliens and picnics.Parents are advised not to panic if children suddenly start mentioning aliens in the kitchen. It is all part of Year 1’s literacy adventures! If you haven’t let me shed some light on the situation. In a historic repeat of 1969 space race but with a lot more glitter, Beulah’s Year 1 astronauts took one giant leap for childkind on Moon Day!

Arm with card helmets, handbags and serious imagination, they zoomed past the clouds to explore the darkest reaches of space. Rumours quickly spread that they had made contact with a real-life alien – Zig. Zig was impressed with our explorers’ counting and manners. After a quick chat about space, Zig gave the tiny astronauts some moon rocks.

The mission ended with a sugar lunar picnic featuring moon-crater sandwiches. The brave explorers also explored some textures on the moon.

Look at the children’s wonderful smiles. They thoroughly enjoyed Moon Day.
