ATW Nursery news – transport, games and book corners

What a lovely week Nursery has had doing lots of learning outside while the weather has been nice.  We’ve had lots of fun in the water tray, having different types of transport and animals to help keep us busy.  We have also been using our fine motor skills to make soups and potions using chickpeas and rice.

We’ve been busy creating paintings using different types of cars, looking at the different tracks they can make and how colourful we can make them. We have also enjoyed playing with the car garage and seeing how fast the cars can travel down the ramp.

It was rewarding watching the children participate in a hoop and beanbag game. All the children were cheering each other on and helping them to choose the correct colour hoop for the beanbag. Well done Nursery!

This week the children decided that they wanted to make our reading area a bit cosier, so we built a little den to help us be able to see our books in the sunshine.  This encouraged us to explore different books and try to read stories to our friends.
