This week, we have been learning all about the Easter celebration. We learnt that it’s a very important time for Christians and the children spoke about what they do to celebrate Easter. We also made comparisons to other celebrations we have been learning about. We read the story “we’re going on an egg hunt” and the children were very excited to go on their own egg hunt.
In maths, we have been learning about repeated patterns. We have made repeating patterns with natural objects, actions and colours.
In forest school, we read ‘Sam plants a sunflower’ and then planted our own sunflower seeds to take home. We also planted some in our outside area and we are very excited to watch them grow!
As a special Easter treat, we made chocolate nests. We crushed the cereal, melted the chocolate in the microwave and then mixed it all together. To complete the nest we added mini chocolate eggs on top. Then we let it set in the fridge before we could take them home to eat!!
Happy Easter! We hope everyone has a lovely two weeks’ break .
