Today was our last ‘Share a story’ of the term. During these sessions parents can come in the class and read a story to their child. The children also enjoy showing their parents their morning routine in the nursery -hanging up their coats and bags, finding their names for self-registration and showing how they use the resources independently in the classroom.
It is wonderful to see the children very engaged, listening to stories that they choose themselves to be read by their parents, their friend’s parents or the nursery staff. We can really see that the ‘Love of Reading’ is growing in them.
Remember, ‘Share a story’ will be back after the holidays, every Thursday at dropping off time between 8:45-8:55 am and 12:15-12:25 pm. We can’t wait to see more smiles behind a book!
Exciting news: We will be organising a big ‘Share a Story’ in Thornton Heath Library in early May. It would be lovely if you could join us to accompany your child and take part in exploring all of the wonderful books.
