Last Tuesday 10th March, Gold class had a very exciting visit from ‘Pets On the Green’. They brought lots of their amazing pets for us to meet, and all the children were very eager to see them. We met Rosie the parrot, Elvis the chameleon, Frankie and Teddy the hairless guinea pigs, Bert and Ernie the very fluffy rabbits, Betty the bearded dragon, Eileen the snake, a pygmy hedgehog and Marvin the Aldabra giant tortoise. Marvin was so cool, walking around the circle to get close to the children. Marvin is only two years old and when it becomes an adult, it will grow bigger than some of the children!
It was pure joy watching everyone give the animals attention and have the chance to properly pet them. When the children felt brave, they could handled the animals by themselves. There were also baskets were the animals could rest while being petted. All the children had a favourite animal, but everyone said the same “The animals were so cute!”
