Atwood Year 3 Experience the stone age

Last week, Year 3 took part in a wonderful Stone Age workshop in a tent on the field. They were met by two people, Memma and Twig, who, when in the tent, taught the children about life and survival in the Stone Age. The children watched how fire was made and how fish were prepared and cooked for eating. The children loved watching this and really enjoyed tasting the fish too! They then had a go at many activities that involved handling artefacts, scraping animal skins, cutting bones with flint, playing bone instruments and even wearing Stone Age snow goggles! The children loved being dressed up in their Stone age outfits for the day and really learned a lot from the experience.
