We have now finished ‘Owl Babies’ and have moved onto our new story book ‘Peace at Last’ by Jill Murphy.

We have had a lovely few weeks settling into nursery. A lot of the focus has been on personal, social and emotional development which has helped the children feel comfortable in their new surroundings, start to make friends and become more independent in their self care.

We have had a busy few weeks in Nursery with our new topic about water.

Last week in Nursery we started our new book ‘The River’ by Patricia Hegarty which tells us all about the epic journey of a fish to the sea.

Continuing with our transport topic, this week we have been reading the story book ‘The Train Ride’ by June Crebbin.

This week in Nursery we have been reading the story book ‘The Big Red Bus’ by Judy Hindley.

It was lovely to see all the children again and hear all about what they have been doing during the Easter break.

Last week in nursery the children were busy learning all about the lifecycle of a frog with the help of our supporting story book ‘The Teeny Weeny Tadpole.’

The children have had lots of exciting activities this week to celebrate book week.

Last week we finished reading the story book ‘The Gingerbread Man.’ 

It was so lovely to see all the children return from the Christmas break, eager and ready to learn.

This week in nursery we have been reading the story book ‘Mouse Paint’ by Ellen Stoll Walsh.

This week in Gold Class we have been extending on from our colour topic and have been doing lots of experiments with colours.

Over the last 2 weeks in nursery we have been learning all about colours.

It was lovely to see all the children back and ready to learn after their half term break.
