Reception had so much fun learning their new phonemes this week! A particular highlight was learning ‘k’ for kite. The children used their creative and phonics skills to make their very own kites, applying their fine motor and writing skills to decorate them and write the grapheme ‘k’. We then visited the school field to have a go at flying them—we had so much fun! One child exclaimed, “I want to fly my k, k, kite every day!” We cannot wait to find out what phonemes we will be learning next week.
