CYP Upper: Sport day Success

This week has been very busy at Cypress Upper with both our Key Stage 2 Sports’ Days taking place.

On Wednesday morning Year 3 and 4 braved the intermittent rain to complete their Sports’ Day.  The children showed real resilience and excellent collaborative skills.  After completing the activities our Year 3 and 4 distance and sprint runners showed off their talents with some very close races.  We just made it back to the Upper school before a heavy downpour tired but with big smiles on our faces.

Today was the turn of Upper Key Stage 2 to complete their events and the weather was kinder to us.  The Year 5 and 6 children shone, not only through their talent, but by the compassion and empathy they showed for the other children in their teams.  They embodied the Pegasus value ‘We Care’.  Once again, our distance and sprint runners showed excellent skill and pride in their own achievements as well as that of the other runners in their race.

A huge thank you to our House and Vice Captains who have done an excellent job motivating the house teams and keeping the events running smoothly. Thank you to Miss Ahmed and Miss Hassan for organising two great events and to our site team and staff for all your support in setting up and running things on the day.

Finally, thank you to all our parents and carers who came along to support on one, or in some cases both, of the days.  Your encouragement and support for all our children is greatly appreciated.
