We had an another action packed program for Book Week this year! We kicked off the festivities with a dress-up day on the Monday and had a wonderful array of book characters wandering the corridors. Year 1 and 2 spent some time in the afternoon reading with each other during our ‘Book Buddy’ reading sessions. On Tuesday, we invited parents into school for our termly ‘read with your child’ session. Wednesday saw the opening of our very own ‘Whitehorse Bookshop’ in the school hall and children came to exchange their World Book Day voucher for a book. The author James Sellick came to visit classes on Thursday and signed copies of his book for children. We ended our successful book week run with a Scholastic book fair before and after school.
