The children have had lots of exciting activities this week to celebrate book week. On Monday the children enjoyed dressing in their comfy clothes or as their favourite book character, on Tuesday some of the parents joined us for a read with your child session. On Wednesday the children took their book token to the Whitehorse Manor Book Shop to choose their free book and on Thursday we were lucky enough to have author James Sellick visit Gold Class to read the story ‘Storm Goliath.’
Since returning from the half term break the children have been busy learning new phonics sounds, reading the story book ‘Jaspers Beanstalk’ and revisiting numbers 1 and 2. They have enjoyed playing in the new flower shop role play area as we embark on our new topic of ‘Round and Round the Garden.’
