✊🏾💗 Celebrating Black History Month with New Forest Class
Today, New Forest Class delivered a powerful and inspiring assembly in honour of Black History Month. Through poetry, song, and storytelling, the children paid tribute to some of the most impactful figures in Black history, reminding us why we celebrate and remember their legacies.
Names such as Harriet Tubman, Muhammad Ali, Martin Luther King Jr., and Nicola Adams were brought to life through heartfelt performances that highlighted their courage, resilience, and contributions to society. The children’s voices echoed messages of hope, equality, and strength—leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
One poem shared during the assembly included the words of Maya Angelou:
“We are more alike, my friend, than we are unalike.“
We are incredibly proud of New Forest Class for their thoughtful and moving presentation, and for helping us reflect on the significance of Black History Month.
