Year 2 have hit the ground running since their return to school. We’ve already had a visit from London Fire Brigade, teaching the children about how to stay safe in a fire. Nabhi from the London Institute of Vedic Education has visited us to deliver an engaging Diwali workshop. The children were so excited to dress up in such ornate costumes. In our art lessons, we have been designing Tudor roses and shields ready to print in the style of Andy Warhol. We’ve got stuck into our first English text, The Lonely Beast, acting out the story and orally rehearsing our sentences. In maths, we have been securing our knowledge of place value and partitioning two-digit numbers into tens and ones.
