Last week was a busy week for Year 6! First they travelled to Croydon Fire Station to take part in Croydon’s Junior Citizesnship scheme.
A variety of scenarios and topics were covered by Roads Transport Police and Police Community Support officers including:
Scenario: Bus Safety, Underground Safety, Active Travel & Journey Planning
Scenario: Fire Safety in The Home
Scenario: Basic First Aid
Metropolitan Police Service
Scenario: Knife Crime, Personal Safety Messages, Stranger Danger
Scenario: Health & Wellbeing, Vaping, Smoking, Harmful Substances
Later in the week, Year 6 visited Crystal Palace Football Club to take part in their Black History Workshop. Children discovered local role models such as Stormzy and Wilfred Zaha. We were lucky to then have a tour of their stadium and explore many areas of the club including their changing rooms and media room.
We’re looking forward to our next trip to the British Museum to see the Rosetta Stone!
