Year 6 have been fully immersed in the world of urban dancing. Led by a specialist dance teacher on Fridays, they have learnt both the history and skills of popping, locking, waving, krumping, waacking, breakdancing, funk, house and more!
It has been a pleasure to see some of the more reluctant dancers come out of their shells and find their favourite dance styles. The weekly sessions culminated in a spectacular showcase where the children performed their very own choreographed routines with their urban dance crews.
We hope the dance crews will continue to practise on the playground and that we have inspired some young budding dancers!
