What a busy and exciting week we’ve had in Reception! Here is a little glimpse into what we’ve been up to:
This week, we have been reading the wonderful story ‘So Much’ by Trish Cooke. Inspired by the book, we’ve had some fantastic discussions about our own families, talking about what they look like and learning that every family is unique and special. The children loved putting pencil to paper to draw their very own family portraits! In maths, our young mathematicians have been exploring the composition of numbers 2, 3, and 4, discovering all the different ways these numbers can be made up. We’ve added some new sounds to our phonics collection this week: g, o, c, and k. The children have also learned their very first tricky word: is!
