It has been lovely having all the children back in nursery, refreshed and ready t o learn after the Christmas break!

A few weeks ago, we set all children a photo challenge to read a book in most unusual or funny place they could think of.
This week all of the children at Whitehorse Infants proudly sang their hearts out in their Christmas Concerts.
This week Reception have been looking at the story ‘Polly Jean Pyjama Queen’ by the author Steve Webb.
You may be aware from the media that the UK is seeing a high number of Group A strep cases this year.
Christmas is fast approaching and Reception have been getting into the Christmas spirit by taking part in lots of exciting crafty activities.
Over the last two weeks in nursery we have continued with our colour theme.
Last week on ‘No Pens Day’, Year 1 were busy making their own moon buggies in DT.
This morning, we successfully held our first Reading Café workshop for our Year 1 parents and carers.

Over the past few weeks, we have been promoting our love for reading and the importance of reading for pleasure.
What a fantastic day we had in Year 2. Many of our children and staff came dressed as Tudors.
We have been learning all about rainbows and colours in nursery and have been reading the story books ‘What Makes A Rainbow’ and ‘Rainbow Colours.’
In our English lessons, we have been reading The Twits by Roald Dahl.
Year 2 enjoyed a fascinating presentation on Diwali- the festival of light.
