It was lovely to see all the children again and hear all about what they have been doing during the Easter break. They were greeted with an ice cream van as their new role play area which they have loved exploring! Our theme this term is transport and we have been reading the book ‘We All Go Travelling By’ by Sheena Roberts. We have also listened to the song version and have been making up our own actions for all the different types of vehicles. In maths we have introduced 3d shapes. The children have been exploring building with them and have been problem solving as to why a sphere won’t balance on a cone!
In phonics we have been learning the sound ‘b’ and will be focusing on our new sound ‘f’ next week along with learning about positional language in maths.
