whinf Trip-Trap Tales: Billy Goats Gruff and Representing Numbers to 5

Over the last two weeks in literacy, we explored the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff to support our learning. We focused on characters, setting, and the sequence of events, and discussed the problem with the troll. We also practised retelling the story, writing simple sentences, and using descriptive language to make our ideas more interesting. This helped us build confidence in reading, speaking, and writing skills across different activities in class.

This past week in maths we were learning to represent numbers up to 5 using Five Little Monkeys.  We use each monkey to stand for one number. For example, one monkey means 1, two monkeys mean 2, and so on, up to five monkeys for 5. This helps us count in a fun, visual way. By adding or taking away monkeys, we can see how numbers change and understand counting more easily.
