We have had a busy few weeks in Nursery with our new topic about water. We have been learning the rhyme ‘Row, Row, Row your boat’ and reading the story book ‘Who Sank the Boat’ by Pamela Allen. In maths we have been learning about capacity and have been using new words such as full, nearly full, nearly empty and empty.
We finished off our phonics sounds this week with our final sound which was ‘qu’ for quick, quack and queen! The children enjoyed making crowns for ‘qu’eens and ‘qu’acking like ducks!
Our spine books have included ‘Shark in the Park’ and ‘Dear Zoo.’
We have also made the most of the hot weather and have been dipping our feet in water and using the hose pipe to cool us down.
