Today, one of our lovely Cypress parents, Jim Beckett, spoke to the Year 5 and 6 classes about his fabulous new book which is called ‘The Caravan at the Edge of Doom’.
It is about a girl who finds out that the toilet in her grandparents’ caravan is actually a portal of doom to the beyond.
An excerpt of the book was read to the children and they are now really excited to read the whole story.
Mr Beckett also got the children to use their imagining skills to think of where else we might find magical portals and what we would take with us if we went on a journey through one of these portals.
A wonderfully fun experience!
