Beulah – Magnificent Museum Day!

Today Beulah Infants school transformed into a magnificent museum and drew in crowds of parents and carers. Our year two children took their visitors on a journey through the lives of the Tudors. Parents and carers were amazed at the fabulous artwork including, Tudor style portraits and scenes from the Great Fire of London. They were also invited to work with the children to create Tudor Roses using pointillism techniques and have a go at writing with feathers which they found to be very tricky! Exhibits in year one were based on their topic of ‘Toys’ and the activities brought out the child in all of our visitors as they played classic board games, made ball games, peg dolls and kites. The reception parents and carers were delighted to join their children in making monsters and looking at their creative skills and writing in their ‘Monster books’. Thank you to all of the children for their hard work and thank you to all of our visitors for making this such a success. Please read some of the lovely comments that were left in the museum visitor books:

“Thank you so much for showcasing the children’s work in such a lovely way and giving parents a chance to see all of the hard work they have been doing”

“Enjoyed looking at all of the lovely work created by the children and I especially enjoyed getting to interact and make things and play board games.”

“It was really lovely to see what the children have been working on this term and to see them all working together.”

” Thank you to the staff for arranging this day as it gives parents the chance to get involved in our children’s learning process.”
