CYP Lower – Ring out the bells!
This week we have seen children in every year group practising and performing their Christmas shows.

This afternoon Year 1 wowed their parents and carers with their wonderful singing.
What a fun day we have had at Cypress today! We have absolutely loved seeing the children – and the staff – in their jazziest Christmas jumpers, as well as the festive hats and glasses everyone brought in.
On Thursday, Nursery Gold and Silver Classes had a wonderful trip to St John’s Church on Auckland Road.
Ring out the bells, ring out the bells! A baby is born in Bethlehem… Reception absolutely amazed us all with a fantastic Nativity performance this morning.
Ruby class shared some festive cheer during their assembly this morning, performing to their parents and carers.
We are delighted to announce that we are organising a fantastic residential trip with The Bushcraft Company for Year 6 for summer 2022.
As part of our thematic unit, Walk Like An Egyptian, Year 6 have been studying the River Nile in Egypt and comparing it to the River Thames.
Moon Day was a memorable end to our topic about the first moon landing.
This week our fabulous Christmas hoops were put up in the Lower School hall, along with our Christmas trees.
It’s been a sparkly week in Little Cypress! We are continuing to learn our Christmas songs for our performances on Thursday, 16th December at 11.00am and 2.30pm.
This week we have been working on being reflective learners. We have been taking time to consider our strengths and areas for development.
With recent higher numbers of COVID cases across the UK the SLT of the Pegasus Academy Trust has put in place some new precautionary measures to keep us all safe as we enter the last weeks of term.
Year 3 had a brilliant time on their trip to Crystal Palace park this week.
This week we had a very special assembly delivered by our Junior Travel Ambassadors showing us how to stay safe on the roads and launching their road safety competitions.
