Our Year 6 pupils thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Bikeability, showing a fantastic attitude and a strong focus on safety throughout. Before riding, they made careful checks, ensuring helmets were fitted correctly, shoelaces were tucked away and that they stood on the left-hand side of their bikes at all times. The children confidently completed their ABCD checks: A for Air (pinching the tyres to check pressure), B for Brakes, C for Chain, and D for Directions. They also learned that bikes have a range of gears and practised changing gears correctly, understanding that you must pedal while doing so. Year 6 demonstrated excellent responsibility and maturity, making Bikeability a great success.
