On 10th July, Year 2 had their seaside trip to Broadstairs beach. We were so lucky as we had fantastic sunshine all day long! We travelled by coach where the children especially enjoyed playing I Spy! Soon enough, the children were able to see the blue sea in the distance and got very excited. When we arrived, we decided to have our lunch by the bandstand to avoid the pesky seagulls. After lunch, we walked down the steps to get to the beach armed with buckets and spades. We spent the afternoon making sandcastles, burying each other and some of us even got the chance to paddle in the sea! It was cold at first but we quickly got used to it, jumping over the waves with smiles on our faces. Thank you to all the parents who kindly volunteered to come with us. What a fantastic way to end our time in Year 2!
