On June 23rd and 25th, our incredible athletics team travelled to Croydon Arena to take part in the annual Croydon Athletics Competition.
Atwood had representation in all of the Track and Field events. The team were outstanding and supported each other brilliantly. We qualified for a staggering 13 events in the finals which took place on Friday 27th June and produced an amazing set of results:
Freya 1st high jump (1.18m jump)
Elianna 2nd Sprint (after progressing through semi finals)
Zac 2nd Sprint (after progressing through semi finals)
Grace 4th in 600m
Tekarra 4th high jump
Girls’ relay 5th in their heat
Salihah 5th in her heat
Oli B 5th in throwing final
Ronnie joint 5th
Blake 5th in long jump final
Annabelle 6th long jump
Boy’s relay 6th in their heat
Nik 10th in 800m final
We are so proud of Atwood’s team spirit; their support of all competitors and their strong sense of sportsmanship. Most importantly, the team had fun, soaked up the experience and had a smile on their faces throughout. Well done Team Atwood!
Also, many thanks to FOAP for the fantastic new sports kits which meant that as well as being great athletes, we looked great too.
