On Thursday, the boys’ football team at Atwood began their campaign for the season. They kicked off with a ‘double header’ against Courtwood. With lots of new faces in the squad, it took a little while for the team to find their rhythm and at half time the team were 1-0 down. In the second half, they fought back with a goal from Ronnie but eventually lost the game 2-1. Atwood started the second game with renewed confidence and started to put together some lovely moves. The team were strong in defence and with goals from Ronnie, Henry (2) and Johannes they avenged the first game by winning 4-1. Well done to all the boys and thank you to everyone who came along and supported the team.
