Breakfast & After School Care

Pegasus Children’s Club

Our breakfast and after school club offers a different themed focus each week, giving children the opportunity to take part in a wide range of creative, active and engaging activities linked to that theme. Themes may include seasonal celebrations, wellbeing, sports, arts & crafts, science, teamwork, cultural events and much more.

As our provision operates on a flexible ad hoc basis, we carefully plan activities so that children attending even just one session per week still have the opportunity to participate fully in the themed experiences and enjoy a varied enriching environment.

Our aim is to provide a fun, inclusive and welcoming space where children can socialise, explore new interests, build confidence and enjoy meaningful play experiences alongside their peers.

Pegasus Children’s Club can be booked on an ‘ad hoc’ basis.

No deposit needed!

Parents will be able to book or cancel on the day by 12pm lunchtime. To cancel you will need to go to ‘Bookings’ – then find the date you wish to cancel – then click on the reference number and ‘Amend’. Parents now have the responsibility to do this if you wish for a credit note to be placed on your account.

Breakfast clubs start at      7:30am – 8:45am    £5.00 per day

After School Club                3:15pm – 6:00pm    £13.00 per day

Please book/cancel via your magic booking account by 12pm lunchtime on  the day for after school childcare on the day.

A new £5 admin fee will be applied if you wish to cancel/ book your child after the 12pm lunchtime deadline – this is due to costs with staff, meals as well as administration time to make amendments.

Our wraparound provision is overseen by the Extended Schools Manager and Senior Deputy Manager, who work closely together to monitor the quality, consistency and day-to-day running of the service across all sites. They are also the main point of contact for parents and carers relating to the wraparound service and are committed to working collaboratively with families to ensure the best possible experience for every child.

A healthy breakfast with a hot option (for example scrambled egg on toast,) is provided either by ‘in house’ staff trained or by our catering partner, Harrison Catering.

After school clubs run from 3:15pm to 6:00pm.  Because of economies of scale The Pegasus Academy Trust are able to provide this service, which includes a light tea which may be hot or cold, for £13 per day, which is the most competitive rate in the area.

Parents should should call in plenty of time if there is the possibility that they might be delayed. A fine of £1 per minute will be charged if your child is collected after 6:00pm no matter what the reason.

All Pegasus children’s clubs adhere to the statutory framework for the Early Years and Foundation Stage with regard to the youngest children.

Please note: If your child is attending any of the extended schools’ activities and then going on to Pegasus Children’s Club you must still pay £13 to cover the childcare costs. This is because the after school club staff that are needed to provide a good standard of care must still be employed from 3:15pm.
