This week in Reception, the children enjoyed exploring Diwali through hands-on activities, creating colourful diya lamps, designing mendhi patterns and engaging in firework sensory play, all while comparing Hindu celebrations to their own family traditions. In Maths, they built spatial awareness by constructing puzzles using positional language, flipping, turning and matching pieces to fit. Meanwhile, in Phonics they focused on segmenting and blending to spell CVC words.
