What a fantastic start to the term! Our Reception children have had a brilliant couple of weeks settling into school life, making new friends and getting to grips with our daily rules and routines. This week, the learning adventure really kicked into high gear with the start of phonics, where the children took their first steps into reading and writing by learning their very first sounds: s, a, t, and p. We’ve also been diving into the nursery rhyme ‘Humpty Dumpty’, working hard on our performance skills to act it out together. Reception got super creative and invented their own hilarious alternative versions of the classic rhyme too! We are so proud of how quickly they’re adapting and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next.
