Over the past few weeks, our school council have been thinking about ways they can improve lunchtime play. Together they put a list of new resources that children at Ecclesbourne might like to play with at lunchtime. They then took these options back to their class and everyone had the chance to vote on what they would like to play with. Our School Council then fed back the votes and made a list of construction resources that were most popular. Our PTFA kindly gave us £500 to spend on new resources. Last week, the new play equipment was delivered and members of the School Council put them in boxes, made labels and tested out the new resources. Today in assembly, the School Council shared what they had been up to and shared with the rest of the school the new resources that would be available. We spoke about the rules and how to take care of our new resources. The children had an amazing time exploring the new resources and making brilliant creations with the Lego, Plus Plus and magnetic building blocks.
A huge thank you to our School Council for their efforts and our PTFA for their kind donation.
