Last Thursday, Year 1 enjoyed a fantastic and fun-filled trip to the Science Museum. After arriving at school, everyone quickly got ready and set off by bus, train and tube.
Both classes enjoyed a wide range of activities throughout the day. In the ‘Pattern Pod’ the children explored a wide range of patterns they could see and touch. The room was full of light displays, interactive exhibits and even a dancing station! During their visit to ‘The Garden’, Year1 enjoyed the water feature and worked together to build towers.
The children also walked around the space gallery and completed a space scavenger hunt, ticking off every item on the list. Before heading home, they visited the ‘Making the Modern World’ gallery, exploring many incredible inventions and objects that have shaped our lives.
On the journey back, the children chatted about everything they had learned and all the exciting things they had seen. It was a great day and we would like to thank all of the helpers who helped make the day such a success.
