This week in Reception, we loved using The Naughty Bus in our learning. The children were very excited to discover what the Naughty Bus might do next! We explored the story together, talked about the bus’s cheeky behaviour.
This week we have been learning all about comparing objects and amounts. The children explored words like more than, less than and equal through lots of hands-on activities. They worked with classroom resources to sort items by size and quantity. We also used practical maths challenges, like building towers to see which was the tallest and sharing toys to find out who had more or fewer. The children enjoyed talking about their ideas, explaining their choices and using mathematical language with growing confidence.
