We’ve had a fantastic morning, with the sun breaking through and making our last day at camp even more special. We packed up camp and it was amazing to see some of our Year 6 campers developing their organisational skills, which are essential when living in a tent in the outdoor elements. After our full English breakfast in the outdoor kitchen, we built shelters in the deep, dark parts of the forest. Using the knowledge we learnt when reading ‘Wolf Brother’ in our recent English unit in which we wrote survival guides, the children were able to make excellent shelters which were secure, camouflaged and provided protection from the elements. We are so sad to be going home – it’s been a great camp!
