Mixing up a treat for our furry and feathery friends

Both Year 3 Ecclesbourne classes braved the elements last term to learn new outdoor skills.  They experienced huge hail stones, pelting rain, high winds and blazing sunshine.  Despite battling with the elements they produced sturdy dens and well planned, safe camp fires.  They researched how to make bird feeders and loved getting mucky in the process.  The resident birds and squirrels appreciated their tasty snacks.  Both classes weeded the flower beds to prepare for the summer crops and carefully planted a wide variety of flowers, herbs and vegetables.  Everything is safely growing in the greenhouse and will be planted out by Year 4 this term.
