Last week in Nursery we read the story ‘The Enormous Turnip.’ We thought about what the word ‘Enormous’ means and had a go at thinking of other words we could use instead such as giant, massive and big. We had a close look at lots of different types of vegetables with our magnifying glasses. We then looked at the lengths of the vegetables by drawing around them and comparing them with others, deciding which was longer and which was shorter. We then used the vegetables to make a vegetable soup! We even used carrots to paint with instead of a paintbrush! We learned about Chinese New Year, played with noodles and drew Chinese symbols in glitter using chop sticks. What a busy week we have had!
