Sports Day arrives at Whitehorse!
Excitement was in the air on Monday, as a sea of red, blue, green and yellow took to the school field.
We are looking to appoint newly qualified and experienced teachers across The Pegasus Academy Trust.

I will be honest and say that the building of the Anglo Saxon houses in 4P was not popular with our cleaning staff (lots of mud and straw) but the learning when Mrs Pinkney set up a ‘river’ in one of the flower beds and asked pupils to set up their homestead was next level stuff.
On Monday 20th June, courtesy of Ms Madukah, we were lucky enough to have Arthur Torrington CBE leading our assembly commemorating Windrush Day – 22nd June.
The end of our amazing woodland adventure is finally here! Across our classes, the children ended on a high with trap making, camouflage games and survival bracelet making.
It has been a very busy full day here at Boughton Woods with year 6!
After a long drive and some coach delays, our Year 6 adventurers have settled into camp, unrolled their sleeping bags and got stuck in to woodland life!
What a way to end the week- a celebration for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!
Dear Parents and Carers. Our MHST (Mental Health Support Team) would like to share that the Off the Record Youth Counselling Service will be running a Support for Parents and Carers workshop to help them understand and better support their children who may be struggling with self-harm.
We hope you are all prepared for Year Six’s bushcraft adventure next week, especially as the weather forecast is looking hopeful!
Thank you to all the parents, carers and children who joined us for the last meeting about this month’s residential trip for Year 6.
This week Year 5 visited the Science Museum as part of their studies on Earth and Space.
As part of their Literacy work around the text ‘Wolf Brother’ by Michelle Paver, Year 6 were visited by two cave people, Twig and Ochre, who camped on the field at Whitehorse Manor Junior School for 3 nights.
With recent higher numbers of COVID cases across the UK the SLT of the Pegasus Academy Trust has put in place some new precautionary measures to keep us all safe as we enter the last weeks of term.
Over the last couple of weeks, Year 6 have been studying the text ‘Varmints’ by Helen War and Marc Craste.
