Fees at Little Cypress for 2025-2026
We have a number of different types of places at Little Cypress and this page describes what these are and outlines where fees apply.
Places for 3 and 4 year olds (Gold and Silver Classes)
Funded part time places for 3 and 4 year olds – term time only 9.00am-12.00pm.
These places are offered as three hours per day – fifteen hours a week – at no cost to families. This funding starts the term following a child’s third birthday. These fifteen hours will be made up of five mornings. If you take up a place at Little Cypress Nursery your full fifteen hours will be claimed back by our school and cannot be used elsewhere.
Funded full time places for 3 and 4 year olds – term time only 8.45am-3.15pm
In some cases the government offers to fund full time places for working families for 30 hours per week. Eligibility criteria apply to these places; please check your eligibility by going to: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk and ask at the school office if you are unsure. Please note a full-time place in Little Cypress equate to 32.5 hours per week (8.45am-3.15pm) therefore 2.5 hours weekly are chargeable and more information can found by clicking on this link.
Part funded, full time places for 3 and 4 year olds – term time only
If you do not meet the eligibility criteria for a full time funded place you can self fund additional hours. In September 2025 the cost for any morning or afternoon session is £32.00 (£27.00 + £5 for chargeable extras – equating to paying for an extra half hour per day).
Places for Two Year Olds (Rainbows)
We also have some places available for two year old children which fall into the following categories:
Funded part time/full time places for 2 year olds – term time only 9.00am-12.00pm/ 8.45am-3.15pm
These places are for fifteen hours or thirty hours per week (depending on eligibility). The government funds these hours for eligible families. Please check your eligibility by going to: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. Information regarding any chargeable extras is available by clicking on this link.
Self funded places for 2 year olds – term time only
We offer the chance to self fund, either part time or full time places, for your two year old child. These places are subject to availability, as adult to child ratios are high with very young children (1:5).
Full time self funded places for 2 year olds (term time only 8.45am-3.15pm)
These places are charged at £61 per day.
Part time self funded places for 2 year olds (term time only 9.00am-12.00pm)
These places are charged at £28 per half day (9.00am-12.00pm). We can be more flexible with our provision for self funded two years old and you are able to ‘mix and match’ although we ask that your child does a minimum of three sessions per week (a session is a morning) and individual sessions are charged at £28.00 per session.
‘Wraparound’ care for children at Little Cypress
A full school day in Little Cypress begins at 8.45am and ends at 3.15pm. If parents require extra care beyond this time, extra charges apply for Breakfast Club and After School Club. For the children at Little Cypress, this takes place in the Little Cypress building and fully qualified and experienced Pegasus staff run the provision. Both Breakfast and After School Club are available for all of our children, from Rainbows and Nursery. We can care for children from 7:30am until 6.00pm and payments for this service, as with all other payment at Pegasus schools, are made through Magic Booking. Please note:
- All paid-for sessions must be booked in advance and places for extended hours must be booked and paid for via Magic Booking (click here);
- As Nursery and Rainbows are non-statutory provision, we reserve the right to withdraw places, following consultation with the Senior Leadership Team, if attendance has been below 90% and parents or carers have not responded to support given to improve this. Places are in great demand and another family may be able to use this place in Nursery or Rainbows;
