Year 6 school journey: day two
What an absolutely action-packed day at Cuffley! For some, the day before had ended a little too late due to the excitement of camping out in the woodland.
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

Year 6 arrived in high spirits after a quick journey into Hertfordshire.
Today, Rockets and Stars classes had a very exciting visit from ZooLab.
The inaugural Pegasus Trust Games has taken place with Ecclesbourne crowned champions.
On Wednesday 5th July, year 5 went to the Tower of London as part of their thematic topic on Crime and Punishment.
This week our reception children started their forest school outdoor learning and had a fantastic time.
As a result of our collaboration with the P.I.G. charity and their allotment project, some of our Year 6 pupils were lucky enough to go and visit Mrs Burney’s Bees in Frylands Wood this week.
Over the past term, a number of our KS2 children have been taking part in an amazing Creative Wellbeing Project.
This year Ecclesbourne have been lucky enough to be apart of the Green Project, a health and wellbeing programme which aims to teach young people about planting, growing, harvesting, cooking and eating.
‘Gloves Not Gunz’ is working with some of our Year 6 pupils to help prepare them for the upcoming transition to secondary school.
This week is British Science Week and the theme is ‘Time’.
A group of children from Years 5 and 6 attended their first Flag American Football tournament at Archbishop Tenison’s School, Croydon.
At the end of the spring term children were invited to take part in a competition to celebrate the launch of the Figures of Black British Society (FOBBS) app.
This week we held our annual Easter egg raffle and it was a huge success!
EPS Staff beat our children’s netball teams in a pair of tightly fought battles.
