ATW EYFS News – People who help us and frogs
It has been a busy week in Reception with lots of fun things going on.
We have some places remaining at our Nursery at Ecclesbourne Primary School in September. Full time and part time places are available. Welcome to the vibrant world of spring poetry at Pegasus! In a wonderful celebration of creativity and expression, seven schools gathered together for an enchanting Spring Poetry Competition.
As part of their thematic learning, Year 2 visited London to discover where ‘The Great Fire of London’ took place.
It has been a hectic week for our Book Week celebrations this week.

As part of our book week celebrations, we are delighted to take delivery of over £2000 worth of books this week.
There has been lots going on at Atwood this week. The children in Reception have been learning all about healthy eating and the children in Nursery have continued there learning about bees and pollination.
This week, in nursery we have continued to read “Willbee the Bumblebee” and have made lots of bumblebees with different media.
This week Year 3 had the opportunity to visit Sanderstead Library, where they met the Librarian who shared with them various types of texts about the Stone Age (our new theme).
Wellbeing Ambassadors are back in Atwood after the break of not having ambassadors for the previous year.
In Reception this week, we have started our new topic “To the rescue!”
