Atwood Dispositions for Learning
At Atwood, we have been talking to children and working together to identify what we all think makes a good learner. From this, we have distilled 6 key characteristics or dispositions that build together to make a good learner.
These dispositions are Regulated, Resilient, Reflective, Curious, Collaborative and Creative. Over the course of the next year, we will be talking to the children a lot about these and learning what they mean. We will be thinking about how children can show these dispositions, how they help us to learn and what strategies they can use to strengthen these traits.
We have produced some materials for you to help understand these dispositions and how you can talk about them at home. Click on the posters below to find out more about how this information may be presented in school.
