BRIG-Year 2 Biscuit Making
This week year 2 children designed and made their own biscuits and biscuit packaging during their DT session.

We are delighted to announce that we are organising a fantastic residential trip with The Bushcraft Company for Year 6 for summer 2022.
It was lovely to see parents and carers back in school and enjoying Christmas assemblies this week.
As part of our thematic unit, Walk Like An Egyptian, Year 6 have been studying the River Nile in Egypt and comparing it to the River Thames.

Over the last couple of weeks, Year 6 have been studying the text ‘Varmints’ by Helen War and Marc Craste.
This week the children harvested the last of the year’s school crops.
As part of our thematic learning, Year 3 at Whitehorse and Brigstock visited Crystal Palace Park to view where the Great Exhibition once took place.
Today in our assembly we observed a 2 minute silence at 11am to honour those who fought and died in the First and Second World Wars and more recent conflicts.
This week, we have been investigating a number of influential black people in recent British history that made a huge impact to society and the way we live our lives today.
As part of their studies on places of worship the Year 3 children visited St Albans Church in Thornton Heath.
Croydon Libraries BHM event with Akitoye Sunday during half-term on Thursday 28th October, 11am at Norbury Library.
Year 3 children across the Academy have recently studied a poem by a famous author named Robert Louis Stevenson.
Year 6 have been studying artwork and poetry based around themes of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
