Jeans for Genes at Brigstock
Today, both staff and children came dressed to school in as much denim as possible in order to raise awareness and money for the charity ‘Jeans for Genes’.
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that our lovely Teaching Assistant, Sharon Thomas, sadly died during the summer holidays.
Parents and carers will have become aware of the current issue with some schools in the UK that have buildings made of RAAC – Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete.
This term we had another successful trip to the beach with year 2.
It was a real pleasure to watch Ms Hall’s send off from Brigstock today.
Yesterday, children enjoyed playing in the snow. Snowmen were made, snowballs were thrown and fun was had by all!
This term junior children at Whitehorse will get to take home a free book donated by the Children’s Book Project.
You may be aware from the media that the UK is seeing a high number of Group A strep cases this year.
This term, children were excited to receive their Mini London Marathon badges.
Today, staff and children took part in a moving remembrance assembly and observed a two minutes silence.
There have been sixty one Kings and Queens of England in the last 1200 years but none has been monarch longer than Queen Elizabeth II, who died yesterday at the age of 96.
It has been a very busy full day here at Boughton Woods with year 6!
The children had fun today celebrating the up coming Queen’s Jubilee.
With recent higher numbers of COVID cases across the UK the SLT of the Pegasus Academy Trust has put in place some new precautionary measures to keep us all safe as we enter the last weeks of term.
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement today (Wednesday 30th December) and the publication of the accompanying guidance it is now clear that Croydon schools, including our schools within the Pegasus Academy Trust, will not reopen on 5th January as planned.
