Welcome to week 7 of Year 6 learning!
Thank you so much to all of you who joined the LIVE arithmetic session last Wednesday. We had a staggering 73 participants!!
We know that many more of you tried to join – we’d like to apologise for the teething problems with the new technology and thank you for your patience. Please contact your class teacher via your class blog or email firstname.lastname@example.org outlining the nature of the problem you had logging in and hopefully we can resolve the issue so that you can join the next LIVE lesson.
Do you think we can get over 100 participants this week? That would be so exciting!!!
Our next LIVE lesson will be at 11am on Wednesday 10th June when Miss Mangroo will be having a go hosting a LIVE lesson on Science. Please do join her for the start of our new Science topic: The Human Body. In this first lesson you will learn all about blood. For those of you who are unable to join the LIVE lesson, it will also be available as narrated Google slides under the Wednesday tab.
Please check in the Wednesday tab for more details.
In order to access this meeting you will need to sign in to Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/. You can do so using your .306 username followed by @gsuite.pegasusacademytrust.org.
Make sure you type this in accurately or copy and paste it!
Your password is the password you normally use with your .306 username. These are the same as the login that you use to log into the school computers.
If you joined Mrs O’Connor live last week, you may find that you are already signed in.
You can then join a meeting using the nickname:
This will be the nickname that Year 6 will use for all of our LIVE lessons in the future.
If you have any problems opening this, please contact your teacher through your blog or email email@example.com.

Here are some pictures of the wonderful work you have sent us. Please keep them coming!!
You can also use the class blogs to contact your teacher with any questions you may have about the work.
We are also pleased that we have continued to speak to so many of you on the telephone – we have been greatly enjoying the tales of all the things you have been doing to keep yourselves busy during lockdown.
The Year 6 teachers have been working hard this week to create another week of fun and challenging tasks for you to get your teeth into! As with last week, each day you will find 3 tasks which should take 45 minutes – simply click on the relevant day below. Under the tab for each day you will find: a mathematics task; a literacy, reading or grammar task; and a task relating to thematic, science or RE and PSHE. Don’t forget to look in the ‘Extra Activities’ tab where you will find links to fun Music, P.E. and other activities.
This week, in addition to the mathematics tasks and English tasks, we will be learning about the intriguing Cleopatra and thinking about some of the practical organisation skills required to help navigate secondary school.
