Year 6

Week Starting 28 June 2020

Welcome to week 10 of Year 6 learning!

We can’t believe that we have reached our tenth week of home learning!  You have worked so hard and learnt so much – we are very proud of you all for showing great resilience, perseverance and commitment to your own learning.  These are all skills that will stand you in fantastic stead when you start secondary school.

On the 22nd of June it was Windrush Day, a day to recognise and honour the contribution of the Windrush Generation and their descendants and to keep their legacy alive for future generations, ensuring that we all celebrate the diversity of Britain’s history.  Therefore, various of your tasks this week will look at the Windrush as well as the Black Lives Matter Movement which is so crucial to our society.

We will also be looking at the bridges of the River Thames in geography and learning how to draw a proportionately accurate face during the live lesson.
