We have had a lovely week with our Year 6 pupils and we were all so happy that they had the opportunity to see their friends and say a proper goodbye. The week began with hoola hoops and jugglers on Monday and on Tuesday we had our ‘Year 6 only’ final sports day, with Olympia winning the overall House Cup on points, and Athens scooping the sportsmanship award due to their House Captain, Ousmane’s, willingness to participate in any event that was short an Athenian contestant. Some of the participants had run the equivalent of several miles by the end of the afternoon. Thursday saw the disco on the field with pizza, and today was the open air ‘most likely to’ Leavers Assembly, with elbow bumping only: no handshakes! Throughout the week, children have participated in a range of transition activities and creative work, including making Egyptian death masks and completing work for their year books. We hope they take fantastic memories with them, wish them all the very best of luck and look forward to them visiting us next year.
